Tips for printing the Renaissance Star Longitudinal Report or Suggested Skills in the Record Book

Issue:

Tips for printing the Renaissance Star Longitudinal Report or Suggested Skills in the Record Book

Reason:

The Star Longitudinal Report and Suggested Skills in the Record Book are printed as web pages, rather than as PDFs like other Renaissance application reports. As a result, some adjustments may need to be made to your browser settings for optimal report performance.

Resolution:

If you print the Star Longitudinal Report or Suggested Skills in the Record Book and:

         The colored bars in the Percent of Students by District Benchmark Category column fail to appear or the suggested skills are not highlighted:

Windows      

Internet Explorer 10.x -11.x; and Firefox 62 and newer: 

1)    Click on the File Menu and choose Page Setup. (if you do not see a File Menu, press the Alt key.)

2)    Check the box to Print Background Colors and Images.

3)    Click [OK].

Google Chrome 70 and higher: 

Check Background colors and images  or "Background graphics" from the print dialog box. 

Macintosh 

Safari and Firefox: 

1)    Click on the File Menu and choose Print.

2)    To show all printing options:

10.6 and older - click the arrow to the right of the printer name/address

10.7 and newer - click Show Details

3)    Firefox - Check the boxes for Print Background Colors and Print Background Images.

Safari - Check the box for Print backgrounds.

4)    Click [Print]. 

Google Chrome 70 and higher: 

Check Background colors and images or "Background graphics" from the print dialog box.

         You are using Firefox and the first page only includes the report header: 

1)    Click on the File Menu and choose Page Setup.

2)    Change the paper orientation from Portrait to Landscape.

3)    Click [OK]. 

         Data for a grade is split across two pages. For example, the chart appears on one page and the school year and grade appear at the top of the next page. 

1)    Click on the File Menu and choose Page Setup.

2)    Change the Top and/or Bottom margin to force the page break in a different spot.

3)    Click [OK]. 

         You are using Firefox and the right side of the report table is cut off: 

Windows 

1)    Click on the File Menu and choose Page Setup.

2)    Check the box to enable Shrink to Fit.

3)    Click [OK].

Macintosh 

1)    Click on the File Menu and choose Print.

2)    Click the arrow to the right of the printer name/address to show all printing options.

3)    Check the box for Ignore Scaling and Fit to Page Width.

4)    Click [Print].
